The purpose of a pack structure is to allow individuals to work together without fear of dispute. Each member can reap equal benefits from the strength of the others. All that one need do is to obey the rules and commands of the leader. The strength and effectiveness
of a single powerful animal rarely amounts to that achieved by a group of weaker animals working together. For where the single animal may present one snarling face with enough force concentrated to break bones, the group can present numerous faces, all ready to tear pieces from the target at any moment. A pack means that whatever you may face, you will not do it alone. United under a great leader, even the most cowardly may be victorious. |
